I read an article a month or so ago that argued that if someone got mad at you online, it's likely because they couldn't read your post/comment correctly because 21% of the US population is illiterate and 54% reads at or below a 6th grade level and now that literacy rate is my roman empire

Yes, this administration is dangerous and cruel, but they are also shockingly dim and incompetent.

Opportunities are everywhere.

Make everything as hard as possible. Resist every demand. Refuse entry without a warrant. Don’t take the buyout. Their problem solving skills are 📉

i think it is important to say that the open and explicit racism of the president and the vice president isn’t just uncouth or “controversial” but a direct attack on tens of millions of americans and a dereliction of their duty to represent the entire country

Another year of asking my husband to "take x downstairs and put it in the wash, please" only to come down and find that he literally only put it in the wash & didn't start the machine

Our town's baseball team's bat dog passed away unexpectedly and I am WRECKED.

If you followed me on the bad place, you might vaguely remember this story from a decade ago. When I first joined pinterest, I was setting up my profile and during the 'select the pictures that interest you" part, I guess I must have clicked a picture of a wolf. Maybe I thought it was a dog?

Yesterday, I was driving home from my parents (new to me car), and the sun was BLINDING. I was like "Geez, apparently I'm in a Camus novel" and no one was around to laugh.

My husband's family hasn't even texted since Friday to ask how he/we're doing post accident. 😑

we were supposed to go to pgh to visit my husband's family and then we got into a wreck on I95. We were fine, the other guy's truck was fine, my car is not fine

husband decided he was dying from an [imaginary?] stomach pain 30 minutes into our drive to my parents so I had to turn home, and then drive myself and the dog to christmas

Someone tell me I don't need to buy a very cute and absolutely unnecessary new planner for 2025

we put up our holiday lights this afternoon and stupidly did not check them before doing so... One set was half burnt out. Husbs managed to fix it, and then after he did, a whole other strand went out 😅

A couple of years ago, when we bought our first house, I started painting our xmas cards and it's sort of turned into a thing. The 1st was our house with our cat in the window, the 2nd was the (now 2) cats attacking our tree, the third one was the new house with our cats in the window

Good. It’s horrific how other platforms abused their reach to strangle local, independent, and national outlets alike.

I WANT to see news and actual vetted work and I WANT journalists to get rewarded for it.

Because I want to live in a thinking human world over some AI generated slop dystopia

My favorite lunch place near work is an arepa restaurant just down the road from my office. I go probably once a week.

Husband's sister usually lets us stay with her when we're in town for the holidays (since his parents don't let us 🙃). He talked to her about it August & it was okay. I asked on Sunday if he had brought it up with her recently & he was like "No, but it's fine." So I asked him to ask her to make sure

This conference has be a large waste of professional time. It's nice to meet people, but also none of the sessions I've been to have said anything revolutionary. 🙃

I'm at a conference in Florida and there's a 300 million dollar yacht in the river outside my hotel. It is the only conversation topic at the conference 😂

I somehow became one of the people who have to put up signs (think political signs) on campus whenever our division has an event. One person drives, the other gets out and puts the sign up quickly and jumps back in the car
