in fairness to the EU he initially and for some time presented as a reasonable man and created greater stability in Russia as well is implementing sweeping progressive changes (which he has completely removed since ofc) but the Putin presented in 2010 was vastly different to the putting of 2016+

it will take longer than my life time for America to be trusted again, and by then it won't be much use for America, americas geopolitical hegemony and is the power that feeds its economy and place in the world without it americas future in now just managed decline much like post ww2 Britain

Military and defence personnel are not something to be worshipped or to be lauded and held on high pedestal’s as a society, there sacrifice and continued necessity is to be pitied, for it should be the aim of all humans to make such jobs redundant. They day my job is redundant is a day to rejoice.

For comparison that notion died in the UK after ww1 and ww2, I work in defence and all I get is 10% of a Starbucks now and then, and that’s right, that’s all I should get all any military personnel should get because to do otherwise is expressly dangerous.

Take you post, you go straight to appealing to the sense of honour, not the utter inhumanity of it, there’s a point there in how Americans have been raised to think of there nation and military, one that has never been compatible with reality.

And to go into this more, it’s not a one off it’s a consistent track record, much the same as Britain during the empire, to stop it ever again will require more than a change of president and government, Americas relationship to its military and weapons and violence is deeply unhealthy
