Not sure why, on my linux desktop, i've seen steam notifications behaving weirdly, maybe that's why (not going to the correct monitor & freezing the steam client while they are "animating up")

kinda linked to that, are you aware of steam not waiting for shaders to download before starting a game? i'm not sure if it's something that happens on the deck (and if it's even an issue) but it's happening for me on linux (easy repro of that is launching a game you haven't launched for some time)

I don't think it really matters, they might call the black version Steam Edition and not call the white edition that to please peeps who will buy it to use xbox game pass on it (they might think that they won't be able to use game pass on it 🤷‍♂️)

the fingerprint sensor makes me doubt it will ship with SteamOs. I don't really see Valve updating steam's screenlock (store.steampowered.com/news/app/167...) to support it. Whereas shipping with Windows won't require anything from Valve's side.
