Yes. It’s a goofy name for a dog but she knew it so we didn’t change it. It grows on you.

I had - and I think my vet was relieved that I didn’t sound totally shocked & horrified when she mentioned it as a possibility. I hope it doesn’t happen too but they do very well with missing toes.

She’s VERY mellow. They sedated her & gave her more pain meds. Hoping she stays this cooperative for the next 4 weeks. She’s walking on it fine and not licking it at all. If it keeps popping out after 4 weeks, they’ll amputate it.

No idea but she did it again and I can’t get it back in this time. Vet again tomorrow morning for splinting.

That’s what I thought! Looked up ER vets near the cabin. The closest is 2 1/2 hrs away. Did ask the vet if she would have called it an emergency & she said no, not until it started bothering her & then I fixed it.

Yes! Beth is a rescue Podenco Ibicenco from Spain. In the US she would be known as an Ibizan hound. We have a little pod too. They come in all shapes and sizes and they’re all wonderful.

I think they were thinking that the dog beach ban was over for the season and someone should take advantage of that fact.
