I've been seeing claims that the Minecraft movie is the first "meme movie."
Those of us of a certain age know this in fact false, as the first real meme movie was of course SNAKES ON A PLANE.
Every single person went to that movie to shout along with "I have HAD IT with these muthaf*king snakes.."

I've been seeing claims that the Minecraft movie is the first "meme movie."

I finished season 2 of the HBO reboot of Perry Mason just in time to find out that they canceled future seasons.
I'd still really recommend watching it, with the caveat that s2 was a lot stronger than s1.
Really cool recreation of old LA and the noir style and soundtrack are phenomenal.

It's crazy how 80s kids movies had so much adult content but treated kids with enough trust to either not get it or be able to handle it.
