Why can't we just hear a budget speach? I had to turn it off as I can't handle the sound of someone shouting to be heard over what sounds like a crowd of drunkards.

It's impressive how tight everyone parks to the barrier in Padstow

@mattyglesias.bsky.social If I was jealous of the bouncy aura that you give off, thanks to your various traits, would I have ND NB NRG NV? #thismightonlybefunnyinmyownhead

You know when you go to a British corner shop and the vans they're selling are from an eastern European country? Well, I'm in Bulgaria, and the can I just bought is British...

Today I learned that when users like @thealso block your posts which show the evidence that they are slandering someone with lies, it also stops anyone else from seeing that evidence. You can say what you want and block any posts which disagree with you.
No, he did post to defend that he hadn't been a bad custodian of the BX, and to defend his business. Many others were a bit shocked that you were making nasty comments about him. He seems well liked.

The bridge width restrictions in Marlow take no prisoners, including this badly driven Bentley earlier today.

A random bumblebee which landed on Harry's rucksack earlier and refused to fly away as I suspect he was hungry and exhausted (sounds like Harry too). I put him on a fence and after a while an ant started picking on him, so I carried him up the road to a flower where he ate and flew off.

Meet Berty, our "pet" frog who lives in our tiny nature "pool" (storage tub) in the raised bed at the back of our garden.

The weather here in Sofia has turned a little inclement.

Lovely visit to Moco today. The Robbie Williams pieces were surprisingly good...

Waterloo is looking like I've never seen it before, with sunshine lighting up rows of empty platforms.

On our way to London using a cheap first class Swr advance ticket. By coincidence it turns out that we are one of the first passengers on #greatbritishrailways. A couple of windows shots for @everylaststation.bsky.social

Today's project was a complete upgrade of my homebrew NAS. Previously an i3 3220 from 2012 with 12gb of ddr3 memory, it's now a 2020 i3 10100, with 32gb of DDR4. All good under £100 mainly thanks to buying a broken mobo and fixing it. It's now a little op, but I'm hoping not reliable.

The final leg, Sandbanks to Bournemouth. Busy in places, but there are some quiet spots. Sadly by waiting for an ice cream bar with no quere, I missed out.

Of course most of what is around, floats.

I'm posting a little behind schedule now, too busy enjoying the walk! The next section was Studland beach which was surprisingly good for car spotting. I'm including the ice cream boat and horses as vehicles for this one.

The views are surely some of the best in the country, but the elevation change to get here can catch you out, I always assume costal paths to be quite flat.

Time to try the walk from Swanage to Bournemouth again. Last time was February and the forecast sunshine turned to a storm. Much better luck this time! There's something really fun about an open top bus on a ferry!

Some photos from my lunchtime walk at work. I'm still amazed at how good the macro mode is on my phone (Xperia 1 VI), but in trying to do something arty with Hursley House, I've discovered that it has by far the ugliest bokeh I've ever seen. I'm assuming it has two aperture blades?

@jayforeman.bsky.social Please can you make a "Politics Boringed" series. The world was fine until 2016 when you made the Unboringed videos. I think only you have the power to stop the chaos and make times uninteresting again.

This weekend I stumbled across an early '60s half frame Olympus Pen S in a charity shop window. It needed work, so I've restored it as best I can.
I cleaned and freed the sticky shutter, dismantled and cleaned the viewfinder and replaced the light seals. I can't wait to use it.

I've finished, back at the car with very wet clothes, a back pack full of water and ouchy legs. There was a detour near the end which worried me, but it was ok as they had put matting onto the sand. Now for a shower and rest.
