A too serious guy who is too much of an optimist, too much of an idealist, and too much of a believer in people to think the idiot and his gang will last long.
Wonder if defunding Harvard will get students in the street. I doubt it.

We have become complacent. Easier to Netflix and chill than fight to preserve the rights guaranteed by the Constitution.

Mandy we're losing it to an idiot who can't read it.

Today's rant is about the media. Trump getting a plane from Qatar is not him "pushing the boundaries of legality". It is blatant corruption. Period.

And he knows nobody will call it that or do anything so why hide it?

What bullshit...
May 13, 2025 at 11:42 AM
And, of course, all Democrats can do is send a "strongly worded letter" to the White House. That has always worked against corruption and fascism.
Fun fact: AG Pam Bondi, who approved Trump’s $400M jet gift from Qatar, was a paid lobbyist for Qatar, earning $115K a month.

Just a quick question: Why is Hegseth allowed to discriminate against trans service members and nobody calls it out for the institutionalized bigotry that it is?

Fuck Nazis.

I suppose we're going to send the FSU white supremacist mass shooter from yesterday to El Salvador without due process, right? RIGHT???
April 18, 2025 at 12:27 PM
We're in a trade war with the most powerful country we could go against for no good reason because we elected a delusional egomaniac who thinks he's living in the late 1800s.

Not liking this storyline. Who's the show runner?

Today's SCOTUS ruling about the people being shipped to offshore prisons effectively suspends habeus corpus. You can be arrested for any reason or no reason and shipped to an offshore prison.

Change my mind.

What a shit show. MAGA is incompetent at being incompetent.
March 25, 2025 at 9:33 PM
People, if your are going to protest the shameful actions of your representatives at town halls, please have the decency to bring bells to ring as you yell "shame".

Yes, these are trying times but let's not lose our sense of decorum.
March 19, 2025 at 2:19 AM
The President has chosen to ignore a judge's ruling. I think we can safely say we are in a constitutional crisis. He has suspended

But, more accurately, welcome to the dictatorship.

How does it feel to be treated like one of Trump's casinos?

Asking for America.
March 13, 2025 at 12:58 PM
Now that a good number of the regime's main characters are in place, I'm not too confident in their ability to respond to the next crisis. And there is always a next crisis.
February 15, 2025 at 12:59 PM
The barrage of executive actions is bad.

The inability to plan changes is worse.

The incompetence of the people leading (and I use the term loosely) this country is the worst.
February 11, 2025 at 11:12 AM
To find waste and fraud in the federal government, we had Inspectors General. Many (most?) of them were fired since inauguration day.

But Elon can swoop down and in two weeks find enough waste and fraud in USAID to justify getting rid of the department.

The absurdity. Wake up, people.

The more I read about Trump's misunderstanding of trade, deficits, and international economics, the more he looks like a DEI hire.

What would happen if Congress sent Capitol (or any) police to arrest Musk and his team for accessing classified systems, documents, and buildings without proper clearance like any other citizen would?

Or, maybe the better question is why hasn't this happened yet?
February 6, 2025 at 11:52 AM
Thomas wouldn't believe Jesus had risen without direct evidence.

Then Jesus tells him that those who believe without evidence are blessed.

What you believe and what you know are two different things that may or may not agree with each other. The important thing is not to confuse the two.
February 3, 2025 at 1:38 AM
Democracy is no longer our system of government. We are the victims of a bloodless coup that the American citizenry authorized through their vote.

This is not something that will be corrected through another vote...we may not get one.
February 3, 2025 at 12:55 AM
The law is the Achilles heel they exploit. We are bound by the law. They are not because they don't care about the law.

They are a corrupt group of people who have no respect for anything. They will stop at nothing to grab and maintain their power.

One reason so many churches were involved in the civil rights movement is that clergy get paid by their congregations, not employers.

We need to build "churches" of journalism to get real stories out to counter misinformation.

Support your independent journalists.
February 2, 2025 at 2:03 PM
Journalists need to get the idea of respect for the office of the President preventing them from asking tough questions and calling things out for what they are.

I know the LA Times, Washington Post, and most of the mainstream media can't and won't do this.

Because money.
February 2, 2025 at 1:59 PM
Has anyone asked what was so bad that tariffs are going to fix?

Journalists have to start putting the new administration on the spot about their actions.

More importantly, journalists need to call out crap for what it is.
February 2, 2025 at 1:55 PM
Homeland Security has a quota of 1200 to 1500 arrests daily according to news reports.

About a third of the arrests over the weekend we're "collateral arrests", they said. Meaning people who were arrested though they are citizens or here legally.

Funny how these things creep up on you.

This clown is half Chuckie, half Pennywise, and totally dangerous to our health and medical infrastructure. As one would expect from the circus running this country now.

Hegseth was confirmed as Secretary of Defense, 17 Inspectors General have been fired, and ICE raids are underway.

And my local supermarket is out of eggs.

Buckle up, folks. It's going to be a wild four years.
