I find it crazy that an average person sees a hole in their sock that appeared a year after they bought it and the first and only thought is to buy the same pair but new
1. Mending the hole is faster then buying new
2. Don’t buy the same ones - the quality is obviously bad

My dog Brioche is wearing a Halloween costume I made from some cardboard packaging, paints I already had and my old swimsuit. The only new thing I used are the treads to resew the material, and yet I feel guilty having made the carton not recyclable by painting it.
