Public transit is a great choice for the environment.

Owning a car is out of reach for most people. A luxury item & real money pit considering most folks would use it for maybe an hour or 2 a day, depending on commute. Whereas using a car share service would mean way more cash in your pocket. My friends love it.

Guessing you don’t have public transit. Or car share program in your area (a city thing) - my friends use them all the time. Bikes are great option.
