Call Sens. Husted 202-224-3353 and Moreno NOW (202) 224-2315. Many nursing homes are at risk of closure if the One Big Bill passes, and most are at very high risk of becoming unsafe via understaffing and inadequate facilities.
A chart from the American Health Care Association titled, "More than half of nursing homes would be forced to cut staff, and more than one-quarter would have to close their doors" [if the Medicaid cuts threatened in the "One Big Bill" are passed]. Juneteenth is a day to celebrate. But it also reminds us that one tactic to keep people from exercising their rights, is to keep us from knowing our rights to begin with.
