Right, I just don’t think that an enlightened future is on everyone’s bingo card. A white, Christian nation and an eye towards the end times is not enlightened, nor is it a future.

Socrates, famously, claimed that writing was detrimental to human thought and memory. Care to guess how historians know this?

It looks like you’re having trouble refuting my arguments, so you’re just saying stuff now. Look, I’m an artist, designer, and a critical thinker. I see AI for what it is: it is recorded human thinking. Books are recorded human thought. Both are tools, both require critical inquiry.

Yeah, I’m in a creative job too, pal. Never claimed AI can do it better. Never claimed one shouldn’t be critical of AI. And I never claimed AI is a replacement for human creativity. And to be honest, neither does this article.

You didn’t seem to address my comments about books, but they can also be wrong. On The Heavens by Aristotle, for example. Dead wrong about the universe, but was an highly regarded text until the 16th century.

Learning doesn’t require books…but they sure expedite the process, as well as expand access 🌈

Definitely not true. In the two years I’ve been using AI, I’ve coded a project, built an outdoor patio and a hot tub, and developed entirely new classes (I’m a professor). I have been able to learn many new skills.
