Youtube is used by all age-groups, Instagram and TikTok is primarily used by younger individuals; younger individuals place more emphasis on information than on entertainment & state more often that they are actively posting, commenting, or sharing content than older age groups.

Almost everyone in Germany uses digital platforms but time spent on platforms, the specific platforms used & the ways of interaction differ by age group. 18-25 year olds spend four times as much time online as 65-74 year olds.
