I didn’t suggest taking all the guns. If you could some how magic away all the guns, Americans would just start stabbing each other and running people down with their massive trucks. The USA is just medieval.

That’s true but I actually said gun ownership. A minority of americas who own a very large amount of guns makes the per capita figure look insane. But there are lots of countries where people have easy access to firearms that don’t have anything like the amount of gun deaths that America does. 🇺🇸 ❤️ 💀

Fire arm deaths in Canada are 7 times less than in the US. So maybe they should take some notes? 😂 but this is my point, Americans are completely in love with the idea of using violence against each other. Any attempt to try and control the bloodlust is met with anger and more bloodlust.

Yes and no. The US has more guns and more gun owners than anyone else. But gun ownership in the US is about 32%, and in Canada is about 26%. But gun deaths per capita are about 9-10 times higher in the US. If it was just about access you’d expect the deaths to be like 1.24 times higher

I don’t think any mass shootings have been prevented or stopped because the shooters rate of fire was marginally too slow. I think gun control is a good idea but America needs to get to grips with the idea that a large part of the problem is Americans’ commitment to and lust for violence
