I am so glad my daughter felt safe enough to tell me. I am so sorry for what happened to you all.

My daughter suggested Mountain Dew. Takes about a month, but seems to do the trick as well.

Highly carcinogenic due to the dichromate I assume?

It’s called Piranha Solution. EXTREMELY dangerous.
In my field of work (semiconductors) it’s used to clean silicon wafers (remove photo resist).
Yeah, any organic material would rapidly decompose (hence the name, looks like Piranhas feeding).

Muriatic Acid maybe? But in concentrated form it can damage glass.
November 16, 2025 at 5:35 PM
That might be true, but calling economy a science is a step too far.

In all fairness, the DDR was communist. But both are authoritarian and totalitarian regimes, which use similar methods to suppress the population

213 million people live within this 100 mile border area. That’s 2/3 of the population of the USA.
November 14, 2025 at 5:24 AM
Within 100 air miles of the border CBP has expanded authority to enforce immigration laws. Agents can conduct stops and searches, board vehicles, and question people about their immigration status without a warrant or individualized suspicion.
November 14, 2025 at 5:20 AM
In the 100-mile border region, that’s not entirely true. Though a warrant would still be needed for most searches.
November 13, 2025 at 11:41 PM
Then there’s the 100-mile border rule.

The notice was given over a year ago. Everyone should have known this was coming.

It’s a historical building and a recognizable monument. Renovate yes, replace no. Demolish for a ballroom definitely not.

Because he hurts them instead of their (brown) neighbors. They couldn’t care less about what crimes he commits/committed.

I am more concerned about those people that would say it was her own fault if she wouldn’t have been a virgin.
November 13, 2025 at 2:43 AM
Why the reference to “she was a virgin”? Why does it matter if she was or wasn’t. She was 13!!

It’s like JD Vance railing against stifling of right-wing speech in Europe (not true), just to go off to stifle left-wing speech at every possible way.
November 12, 2025 at 9:21 PM
It’s the ‘paradox of tolerance’. Freedom of expression is a great good, but we must be intolerant against intolerant expression for tolerant expression to survive.
November 12, 2025 at 9:20 PM
In the US yes. In Europe there’s the European Convention on Human Rights. Article 10 of the ECHR states “Everyone has the right to freedom of expression”. However there are restrictions, for example denial or revision of ‘clearly established historical facts’ (eg holocaust denial) is not allowed
November 12, 2025 at 5:21 PM
That’s inherent in hot-air systems. We have a gas burning furnace and it does the same. It’s the cold air in the ducts that needs to be pushed out before the hot air.
November 12, 2025 at 1:51 PM
Not just Trump, but also the fascist groups in Europe. Problem is that goes directly against freedom of speech.
