Mhmm, it makes so much sense though- they're actively learnt all of these things in lessons and teaching themselves, and we just learnt from... being English speakers 😅 I didn't know that there were 12 tenses in English, for example, because I've just used them instinctively!

I'm in the same boat, my partner (swiss) is fluent, better at grammar ect than most of the people in his office, but every so often I get to see his reaction to a word he's never heard before, it's priceless 😍

BAHAHA the skip is the green thing- a massive bin that you tend to put large waste in, like if you're renovating your home and are getting rid of a wall and furniture etc. 🫡
