with all the recent developments in Syria, I'm reminded again of this book I read earlier this year.
it's a nonfic about a journalist who interviewed & befriended a band of rebels trapped in Daraya, a syrian town that was under siege. this book left an impression on me and I v much recommend it 💙📚

i lied i started a new cdrama. she got isekai'd into a fantasy story where she is the evil female secondary character and has to make him, the evil male secondary character, fall for her. oh and he's a tsundere

finished it. altered my brain chemistry forever. officially my favourite historical romance drama of all time. general ling buyi literally redefined "he fell first AND harder". 10/10

highly recommend Gwangju Uprising: The Rebellion for Democracy in South Korea. it's quite dry but deff an essential read + certain parts are still vvv emotional. I've also heard high praises for Youth of May but i never fully watched it.

it was pretty fun getting to watch woo dohwan play the asshole bad boy right after he played a golden retriever himbo boxer who'd go to the ends of the earth for his mom.

so many things i don't like about Mr. Plankton but i kept watching until the end because the main couple sold me on their romance.

I'm only on first ep and it's classic kdrama stuff but i still fell for how their whole thing is about the sun. her name is sol, his is 'sun'jae, his band is called eclipse. also this height diff is craaazy
