Content in decentralized systems syndicates and is displayed in any app that works with the protocol. That doesn’t integrate well with a business model that is built around a user having to visit the creator’s site so they can monetize the content via ads and subscriptions.

I'd love to hear your thoughts on that in a blog post

I can’t see why all three can’t work perfectly together. ATprotocol has the data store, RSS and ActivityPub syndicate and permalink. Rather than a bridge, a platform that used all the technologies for what they are good at

In fact I think that would be a great lexicon itself. Canonical URLs. Then RSS feed items could flow throughout the ATmosphere and maintain their permalink

It’s hard for this culture to get out of the “own” concept being synonymous with location. With a CID you can give away and own at the same time. But they are tied up with an ads and page views mentality

Burn down is misleading. Twitter is alive, though I agree not well, which is your point I think. But there are things I miss, like the countless local news organizations that have not transitioned because there are millions of users there that have not transitioned, for many reasons, not all evil

No matter how horrible someone is, if they can legally say it I’d say it should be allowed, but few agree with that, on either right or left. And then there are things like Spam, most of which is legal but I’m thankful gets moderated out or else I might quit

What’s with the alternate personality feeding the responses like Cyrano de Bergerac?
