Dignity.
Every patient deserves dignity and respect, regardless of their diagnosis or unique needs.
When in doubt, defer to dignity and agency.

Castor oil is cheap and excellent for this. I also get those extremely painful cracks on edge of skin and nail-
I read somewhere that whenever the weather drops to 50° or lower you should wear gloves… I started doing this and both the painful cracks and the nails improved.
