I think during autism assessments of (young) adult women, special interests as an indicator for diagnosis should receive a very nuanced and investigative approach, since the display of intensity is likely to be passively masked and therefore overlooked if not questioned, (6/7)

On the oppsite side of the spectrum, masc interests can lead to unwanted, disappointing or dangerous interest by male peers and adults. (4/7)

Masc interests in young girls are more accepted by adult society, but can be deemed odd or cringe by male peers, and often receive scrutiny from female peers in traditional environments, in order to deliberately align with the "glorified" male peers' view, or independently. (3/7)

I think this goes for both stereotypically fem and masc interests, depending on the social environment.

Fem interests are deemed vapid, boring and annoying by society at large and will yield direct negative responses in a masc leaning social circle, if indulged too obviously or intensely. (2/7)

I am not sure if this is referencing something, but I am hard of hearing in one ear and sometimes my partner tries to whisper sweet nothings to me and gets the ear wrong. And then I have to inform them that all I am getting are sweet, loving crackles of radio static. xD
