But to read? I’m an ebook girlie. So when I buy physical books it is because I loved it and want it as a reflection of that on my shelf.

I often buy used too and have started wondering about buying paperbacks and rebinding…

Maybe next week? We don’t have one but they are planning to rush ship when our vendor gets copies from the publisher.

All the library copies are delayed.

Finally, gender equality. We’ve fixed the pay gap!

This morning though, I have two red bellied woodpeckers. I suspected I had two, but side by side you can definitely see the differences. And a challenger squirrel. A Not Loretta. I love that I know these neighbors and can recognize them.

I have bought more bird feeders and new seeds.

I’ve since attracted a squirrel we call Loretta. And the number of species in the yard climbs. My winter migrants are here and it brings me so much joy to see the juncos and chickadees along with my year round downy woodpeckers and clownish house sparrows that nested in my tree last spring.

I have a new employee that uses they/them and they/he pronouns.

The number of times I have to remind people to not use she/her…

They’re such cool animals. We have a semi-permanent resident, Stubby, and she teaches all the babies that come to Columbus how to manatee. We stan a round queen.

Okay but you could come to Columbus where our zoo is one of two zoos outside of Florida with Manatees! And then buy an overpriced zoo gift shop plush.

I would also feel okay with giving Legends and Lattes / Travis Baldree or A Fellowship of Bakers and Magic / J Penner to a teen. Nothing spicy, not violent, I don’t remember a ton of profanity.
