The Haston Free Public Library is full of quiet charm. The mosaic tile flooring, the stained glass windows, & the little mouse hole were delightful! & we were so impressed by the details scattered throughout the library. The sensory tent in the children’s room & the displays impressed us the most!

We took a detour from exploring the city to explore the Municipal Library of Athens! This small library packed a mighty punch in providing materials and work spaces for local patrons. Viewing archived newspapers, a card catalog, and exploring the different reading rooms made it a notable visit!

Much to our excitement, we were invited to check out the newly renovated Sawyer Free Library. An insightful & informative visit by our hosts, we were able to admire the new rooms & services being offered to the community. It’s thrilling to be able to see the positive impact of these updates!

Originally founded in 1881 as the Young Men’s Library Association, the Ware Library is a vital community hub. Plenty of materials & seating can be found, with the atmosphere made cozy through the use of fairy lights. This beautiful gothic style building made for a memorable visit on this rainy day!

The Grande Bibliothèque is the largest library in Québec. This beautiful, 6-level building serves as the central library in Montréal & the main location for the national archives. The variety of the resources available impressed us. It was wonderful seeing how busy it was on the day of our visit!

The last stop of our #alaac25 road trip was at the Metuchen Borough Public Library. & it had a lot of heart! There were so many cool things to see. Especially Bruiser’s Books & Kavi the AG doll. Her storyline has her from Metuchen. This library is successful in serving this growing community!

This outwardly austere library held a lot of whimsy within! The White Plains Public Library had an imaginative children’s room, a cool teen space, & unique furniture dotted thoughout the library. The best part of this visit? We got to help a patron check out their books! #libraryjoy #BookSky

Avon Public Library is a quaint shingle style building that is quintessentially New England! The open concept rooms allow users to easily navigate the space. The architecture, the furniture, and the friendly staff certainly made this library feel welcoming and cozy! #libraryjoy #BookSky

Cary Memorial Library is certainly making do during this transitional time! The basement may be closed off but the library still had so much to see and offer visitors. We can’t wait to see the results of their renovation! #libraryjoy #BookSky

Fairfield Public Library is the second stop our #alaac25 roadtrip! This beautiful brick building had a lot to offer. There was a stunning art gallery, a variety of services, & the cutest children’s room! All of the play forts were based on locations in Fairfield. A delightful visit! #libraryjoy

It was a quiet day when we visited Leroy Pollard Memorial Library in New Braintree! We were able to speak with the library director & we learned about the community & the library’s resources. A few things caught our eye, such as the adorable children’s room. It was a worthwhile visit! #libraryjoy

The Wethersfield Public Library was the 1st stop on our #alaac25 roadtrip! This modest library had an easy to follow layout. It was fun to people watch from the 2nd floor & the staff were helpful & very friendly! A fun conclusion to this visit was an ET themed sign posted in the parking lot.

For #alaac24 we made sure to stop by the San Diego Central Library. The space was massive! There were 9 stories to explore. Not only does this library offer the typical library fare, but there were medical equipment, pay phones, & an art gallery. Lastly, the tour in special collections was amazing!

The Sharon Public Library has a new building. We loved the color scheme & light fixtures! We were most impressed with the small details that aim to serve the community. Such as the ADA accessible study room & curbside pickup. We are confident that SPL will continue to make a positive impact!

The Merriam-Gilbert Public Library is a quiet & quaint building in West Brookfield, MA. The color scheme & stained glass windows were quintessential New England! We were especially impressed with the community board where patrons could suggest future programming. A lovely rainy day visit!

While in town for #alaac25 Rachael could not pass up a trip to the Parkway Central Library. It’s evident that this was made to be a grand building. The librarians have done a phenomenal job modernizing it. The real gem is the rare book collection on the 3rd floor & should not be missed! #libraryjoy
