Point well taken.

I missed the Hegseth and his church controversy. I think this may be another distraction. The Epstein/Maxwell/Trump problem is not going away as quickly as was hoped.

This 900 page bill is way too big. It makes it easy for members so say they didn’t know. Divide it into manageable segments. Then vote. Anyone voting to limit access to safety net programs should not be able to hide their vote. They need to own it.

When Trump threatens an elected official with being primaried, the correct answer is “Bring It On.” Someone who is doing good work for their district/state should be able to withstand a primary challenge.

Yet another reason this bill should be voted down. When a bill is read on the floor of the senate, all members should be required to be present for the entire reading. Voting on smaller bills would make it harder for “anonymous” officials to insert language like this.

It is time for these “ICE” agents to be required to dress professionally and show their official IDs when asked. They should also be required to have a warrant when they arrest someone. If they can’t or won’t do these things then they are criminals and should be arrested.

It’s time for Congress to take back its power.

Trump does not need another Supreme Court nomination. As much as I would like to see Thomas retire, the best action right now is to wait.

With all the video and sound equipment running in this room, where is the recording of the senator’s disruptive question? The only disruption I saw was the federal agents assaulting the Senator.

This is very wrong. Harvard needs to fight back but they also need to take care of all those international students. Distance learning might be a possibility for students who have no choice but to go home. Public schools used this strategy during COVID.

And what about little boys who are sad because they can’t have new toy trucks or more legos?

This was a home invasion and armed robbery. The implicated federal law enforcement agencies should be cooperating. Otherwise they are just a culpable as those who broke into the house.

Also important. Trump entered into an agreement with El Salvador. He entered into a contract that will cost the US millions. Where did he get this money? Who approved it? That contract should be made public. I’d like to know what he agreed to.

Trump has an agreement to pay for incarcerating these people in El Salvador. Certainly, there is a contract. What does that contract say,who signed it, and who approved it? This is a large expenditure. Did Congress approve it?

I’m a singer and have many early memories of music. My experience is that good music demands my attention. It triggers thought. Does it make me sad, happy, bring up good or bad memories?Sometimes I need to turn it off. I can’t drive with music playing in the car.

The judge needs to act on this one. That means contempt charges for everyone who knowingly violated the court order.

This might be cronyism, but I think this is more like a quid pro quo. Musk donated a significant amount of money to Trump’s campaign. So he gets access to valuable government data. Information that may benefit his financial bottom line.

With the current political climate, I’m not sure I would be willing to sit in a large gathering of people to hear this man spout his lies. That ambush meeting Trump and Pence used to attack Pres Zelenskyy was the last straw. I will not be watching this evening.

A good point. We should support our longtime friends. These are the people who stand by us when we need help and have stood by us in the past.
March 2, 2025 at 1:42 PM
It was interesting to see both Trump and Vance change the subject by insisting that Zelenskyy wasn’t polite enough or thankful enough. This is classic verbal abuse. Zelenskyy was also denied the opportunity to make his points and correct the narrative. This wasn’t a discussion it was an ambush.

An article in the AJC this morning says that Musk and Trump are targeting the IRS computers/data. Our tax information is at risk. The alleged overspending and inefficiency has been going on for decades. This is not an emergency. Trump has overstepped his authority.

I got a reply from Sen Sanders. He suggested calling elected representatives who won their offices by small margins. Capitol switchboard 202-224-2131.

The problem is that getting a favorable legal decision only works if Trump and his cronies are willing to do as the court says.
