Years ago when I was in youth services, a patron, having an issue with a title I bought, asked me if I had children. I said, "No, but I used to be one." That seemed to stump them.

I'm embarrassed to say that I never knew this about Lord of the Flies and this has inspired me to do some digging to read up on the real story. I feel even more justified in the fact that I have always hated that book.
