NEW — Keith Sonderling, Trump’s Deputy Secretary of Labor, has been named the Acting Director of the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS), an agency source tells me. He’ll arrive tomorrow at their office with DOGE and their security detail.

I feel like people should also know that when the photog asked me to pose with books I said “what should I do, obviously not smile” and he said “be Mona Lisa” which is the funniest thing ever. And I did not nail it.
I really need to carve out time to write a think piece about how MA libraries being municipal-based is actually counterproductive to the work of libraries.
