No I wouldn’t say scary - creepy? I was eager to keep reading but wasn’t anxious about what was coming, if that makes sense.

Highly recommend The Sum of Us by Heather McGee. She has a chapter dedicated to this exact topic and does a phenomenal job showing how racist policies harm everyone.

My Good Boy had scheduled surgery yesterday and I am bringing him home this afternoon. I can’t WAIT until he’s well enough for walks again! Just ::checks watch:: 8 more weeks until he’s cleared 😆
