Once a happy retired mother of two & grandmother of six, but now heartsick at the prospect of four more years under the dictates of the talibangelicals' cult hero.
I am abt 1/4 Irish (DNA tests range 36% to now 23%) & love your well-educated, fair country. I long to visit after travel to Europe (focus on UK) as an undergrad in 1974 (dating myself). It was during the "troubles," so I was limited to my paternal Anglo-Scot land. Were u implying Ireland is r-wing?

Ricketts is a total joke as a leader. His campaign ads are devoid of plans for the future & harp on his competitor being-in his belief-nothing more than a Dem. He asserts that voters need to avoid Osborn & choose 47's agenda, pathetic that he fails to address what agriculture faces under this admin.

TWO? Really? The hyper-religious ones are always masters of projection of their own failings on others. I know about the porn sight on television during a state school board meeting in his office, but what was the other one?

These MAGA influencers all seem to share that pinched, hard & perennially bitter aspect to their faces that appears to come from lifelong Betadom & lack of honest fun or happiness in their lives. Check out this relatively young (40) ultra religious school Supt Ryan Walters, never smiling or joyful

10) if things continue to progress this way on Bluesky w/the misrepresentation of, for instance, of California's homeless policies under Newsom (which they post deceptively & limit who can respond), I'll go heavy on the block button. I enjoy learning from debate but not being dishonestly attacked.
August 17, 2025 at 9:37 AM
7) than a governor who is just a billionaire personally--Pritzker. We’ll see what candidate rises to the fore, but culling the herd this early seems foolish. I have a favorable impression of JB, but not a lot of the charisma factor & a billionaire of Ukrainian Jewish descent, you sure abt that? 😜
August 17, 2025 at 9:25 AM
20) him so hard. Who knows this far out who will be our nominee (or if the 2028 election is allowed to happen), but we need a guy of Newsom's audacity & wit to fight back now as well as Buttigieg's thoughtful insight. We need all of them to harken to & even laugh w/as we reunite to fight not divide.
August 16, 2025 at 12:21 PM
19) at this dire time. Make fun of me for being too much of a party diehard, but all of us together have accomplished great things rather than single individuals you glorify or castigate on a seeming whim. I find it suspicious that it is while Newsom trolls 47 so well is when u guys choose to attack
August 16, 2025 at 12:15 PM
18) out until the last night of the DNC was unforgiveable. He didn't have a snowball's chance in hell electorally. The behavior of his delegates was bizarre. The naivete was palpable. Big, flashy promises don't impress me & I dread seeing the same divisive & corrosive efforts to undermine Dems
August 16, 2025 at 12:01 PM
17) bc he is an accomplish-nothing rep from small liberal VT who can talk a big story bc he will never be called on to bring it to fruition. Those of us in less-safe red states recognize that elections are won on the margins & realized what an existential threat DJT was. What BS did by not dropping
August 16, 2025 at 11:46 AM
16) us deal w/in red states. We get a clearer view of the close divide that is these United States (less though now when ppl are getting a reminder of how bad a 47-led GOP is) & tend to be less absolutely certain that ours is the ONLY way forward. It is easy for Bernie to loudly demand everythingNOW
August 16, 2025 at 11:36 AM
15) down of potential candidates this early on & the sneering comments abt "centrists" just gives me PTSD of what we as a nation went thru in 2016. I'm tired of progressives "making good the enemy of perfect" again. When you are young or live in a blue state, you don't have a clue what the rest of
August 16, 2025 at 10:45 AM
14) I especially can't believe the # of ppl who sat at home bc Harris didn't meet their perfect criteria when it was down to Trump or her. Watching these same sort of ppl play the same game now is gob-smacking! I'm not totally sold on Gavin who may be too left to win general IMHO, but the beating

13) It seems that if you were such an expert on Newsom policies, you wouldn't misspell his name like a Republican ditz. Overall, I am suspicious of far Left bona fides most of the time esp if they speak only abt one issue as though the big catastrophe of 47 in office isn't important enough to deal w
August 16, 2025 at 10:24 AM
12) absolutely everything they want or they sit out the election or waste their vote on 3rd party w/no chance of winning. I suspect that many of these posters are not even who they say they are like X, just foreign or rw trolls stirring up division among Dems. Suspicious of u bc u misspell "Newsom"!
August 16, 2025 at 10:18 AM
11) Dividing the Dems seems to have been his real purpose in '16. His malfeasance, like Comey's, is important part of the reason we were stuck w/Trump in 2016. He may have attempted amends (of sorts) since then but he is an egomaniac like 47 & I distrust him & most of his far Left cult who demand
August 16, 2025 at 10:09 AM
10) Sorry for the long diatribe, but the worst sin BS committed in 2016 was to stay in contest right up to the DNC when he wouldn't have won even if ALL of the super delegates flipped in his favor. He was out of the running by mid-March, but he hung on bc winning the nom wasn't his objective.
August 16, 2025 at 9:56 AM
9) & I'm glad my party dealt w/his 2020 primary run diplomatically w/o giving him the unfair advantages that made him appear more popular than he really was. I will never forgive the tactics his team employed in demonizing HRC when we were up agst so much RU et al interference-lastnail in the coffin
August 16, 2025 at 9:49 AM
8) that Bernie & his far Left afficionados did not make much of an inroad in 2020 primary bc Dem leadership were on to his team's divisive game plus there were hardly any caucuses to make his strength/popularity appear larger than it really was. I learned a bitter lesson from his divisive campaign
August 16, 2025 at 9:40 AM
7) in caucuses & traditional primary elections didn't do so in the general election which confirms my suspicious that they didn't support his agenda or were even Dem-leaning but were GOP in reality), so I was glad that my largely white & conservative state did away w/the caucuses after 2016-notice
August 16, 2025 at 9:33 AM
Your attitudes & statements (perhaps of those before you engaged) said it all. The crone (sorry, I blocked her & don't remember her name) said from the start how she disliked Centrists--who says that but far lefties? I was called blue MAGA. I'm visiting family & this has ceased to be interesting.
August 16, 2025 at 12:38 AM
I am a moderate Democrat who has lived my entire life in a red state. I understand how essential the Democratic party is to maintaining any semblance of a democracy w/rights for all regardless of their race, economic class or sexual orientation. Since 2016, I have learned to dislike the far left.
August 16, 2025 at 12:15 AM
The absurdity of believing that only your specific concerns must be considered uppermost in the leadership of an entire nation is what makes the far left into such a pretentious joke. U believe the entire world or at least nation centers on u. We lost essential elections in 2000, 2016 & 2024 bc of u
August 15, 2025 at 11:32 PM
FU & the horse u rode in on! U believe the entire nation bows to u & the tiny minority of pompous self-interest u espouse? Grow up! I don't speak for the Dems nor know what superior class of humanity u think u belong to, but w/your attitude, I hope u get the personal opprobrium u so richly deserve.
August 15, 2025 at 10:34 PM
OK, settle for Trump as better than Harris since she isn't perfect enough to break away from half-century US Israeli loyalty in a millisecond whereas 47 is in Netanyahu's hip pocket along w/in Putin's on the Ukrainian devastation? How long have u lived to not comprehend that US elects only 2 parties
