Great to be out these last few days talking to the residents of Grenoside and Ecclesfield.

Understandably there is only one thing that they want to talk about!

What a great group of people to spend the Local Government Association Conference with.

Got to know these wonderful people over the last year on #NextGen19.

If this is the future of the party then we are in good hands.

A great, albeit a tad damp, weekend in Stocksbridge.

Not much love for Labour out there...

When they can't even get the spelling of one of the towns in the ward correct, how can they be trusted to do anything right?

Shows how much Labour cares.

To think that I set off that morning on a relaxing, post locals, holiday to Sussex to help me unwind and forget about politics for a bit.

Only to find myself delivering my first leaflets and knocking on the first doors of the General Election for @jessbrownfullermp.bsky.social in Chichester.

One year ago...

How time flies.

Found myself in Westminster watching PMQs as rumours started to fly about a General Election.

What followed was seven of the most tiring weeks of my life.

But it ended with 72 Lib Dem MPs!

Vile
Ghoulish
Disgusting

What have Labour become in chasing Reform?

Got an opportunity to chat with representatives from Help 4 Homeless Veterans about the work that they are doing to provide wrap-around care for those who are vulnerable after leaving the armed services.

Stopped in on Saturday to visit the exhibition of Quilts for the Longest Day.

With help from the East Ecc ward pot and Ecclesfield Parish Council, these quilts were able to be created to donate to veterans as part of VE Day celebrations.

I know I said Sussex was one of the most beautiful parts of the country a few weeks ago, but rural Stocksbridge is definitely giving it a run for its money this morning.

It wasn't to be in Hull and East Yorkshire, but what an amazing team!

Only the Lib Dems can take on the populism of Reform.

Only the Lib Dems can hold them to account.

We work hard, we fight hard!

GOOOOOOOD MORNING HULL!

A few weeks back I went to post a letter on my way through Parson Cross, only to find it missing!

It's taken a few weeks but Jai, from MJ's NISA, and I have worked with Royal Mail to get it back as a priority.

And that's a wrap on final weekend campaigning!

Had a great time in South Lincolnshire helping Harrish in Stamford East and Murray in Folkingham Rural with @leylandcacti.bsky.social

It is going to be close, but there is always only one choice when it comes to dedication to a community!

When I described the concept of a campaigning holiday to people they thought I was going mad.

But the ability to cycle round a glorious part of the country, exploring hidden corners of Sussex and meeting some lovely people is a treat.

Good luck to Dom and Yvonne in Midhurst on May 1st!
April 13, 2025 at 4:29 PM
According to Andrew Griffith the Tory, the Lib Dems are church roof fixing vegans.

Voters in his seat in Midhurst seem to like the idea of that when I chat to them. Definitely more than they like the Tories!

Good idea Gordon, unfortunately you are about a week late...

What to do when you have a free few hours in London?

That's right, take the opportunity to explore a new area by helping get Richard Choi elected to Sutton Council!

It's always great when a new independent business opens it's doors in Ecclesfield.

Doubly so when it is a speciality coffee roaster trying to take on the big American chains by opening up a drive through site!

Welcome to town Frazer's Coffee Roasters
