This and all issues of the Berkeley Science Review are filled with incredible articles about UC Berkeley and LBL research, and decorated with the amazing artwork of the design team. It's entirely run and created by STEM graduate students and postdocs volunteering their time.

My article in this semester's issue is the most important one I've written. Academia is fraught with exploitation and colonial issues. I'm honored to have spent my last article speaking with scientists who are working with Indigenous communities and respecting Indigenous science in their research.

This publication has been a major part of my life for the past three years; without it, I would not have developed such a love for science communication. I'm so thankful that I was able to contribute four articles, edit five issues, and take on the role of editor in chief of the magazine for a year.
