I mean he's appealing to the logic that motivates ICE no? The point of ICE was (nominally) to protect US citizens from scary immigrants, but now they're just shooting US citizens. I think it makes sense as a talking point.

But why bring it up if your complaint is about matchmaking lol?

I was also think there should be a Tas or ACT election to compare to!

It wasn't really discussed on the podcast, but what do you think the odds of a "grand coalition" between the Labor and Liberal parties is? (they are the only two pro-stadium groups)

No nationals data means they're doing terribly?

I guess my question is what is an anti-stadium conservative voter to do?
June 28, 2025 at 12:47 PM
Do you have any big criticisms of the Tasmanian system?

I think Jordan and VS are pretty clear in their communications that they think you should vote "left to right" with your preferences, although this post is obviously trying to distinguish them from Labor.

Well it just doesn't make sense to me that the reason the outer suburbs are turning blue is that they're all super pro Israel... also the libs are way worse on Israel Palestine so it doesn't even make sense. Don't you think Labor's failure to make a (noticeable) material difference is more important
February 16, 2025 at 5:19 AM
I don't think that's the main cause... most Australians aren't pro-israel iirc, and frankly the Labor govts stance on the genocide is pretty limp and disgusting.
February 16, 2025 at 2:36 AM
That is actually insane! What's the rationale for such a choice?
February 16, 2025 at 1:37 AM
Surely this will lose Labor votes to the left though, and mostly still send preferences to Labor instead of the Liberals

I was going to mention this one as well. Very nicely considered video.

I think that the impact of immigration on pricing is going to be correlated to the size of the demand caused by immigration *as a proportion*. But the emphasis on wages as a proportion of price in the original post implies an understanding of this principle; it's weird not to apply it to immigration
January 30, 2025 at 9:59 AM
Not sure it's meaningful then
January 30, 2025 at 4:24 AM
Is that immigration in absolute terms or as a proportion of the population?
January 28, 2025 at 11:23 PM
Ah but you see the missiles kill people *outside* America so it's fine

I think you can offer an explanation without justifying/defending something
