Not a great sign. Seems we’ve been prioritizing that for years now so maybe not just down to Frank? The PL is generally heading in that direction currently but surely some skill is necessary even for managers that prioritize physicality? Maybe we feel differently when we get Maddison et al back?

You may be right but main problem is the roster. Too many similar profiles. Need more technical players (to compliment those with physicality) and better depth. Frank may not be the answer long term. Could be marginally better, but no one is lightning the world on fire with the current squad.

Maybe this is nutty (no real tactical experience here) but what about playing Cuti central so he can step up into the space where we might typically expect a deep lying playmaker to occupy? Might have better angles to the entirety of the pitch.
