I agree to a point. But, and it's borne out of this year's results, the total score for Israel and the collapse for favourites (Switzerland, France, amongst them) pointed to suspicious behaviour.

Voting reform is always worth exploring; I'm just cautious about both the reasons and consequences.

You've identified an issue with two different starting points: Ukraine is popular because of quality; Israel because they use fraud and duplicity.

I have to disagree. Ukraine sends interesting, varied, and layered songs, each from a different POV. Israel has settled, if I can use that word(!), on "arms around the world" musical numbers. Russia did the same with consecutive doe-eyed ballads.
