As #Dyspraxia #DCD Awareness week nears its end I'm making one more appeal to people within the community, in the UK, to contribute to this vitally important research priority setting exercise.

To ensure we are working on the questions that matter most to the community we need YOUR input, please 🙏
A priority setting excercise for #DCD #Dyspraxia asking what things #research should focus on. Takes less than 5 minutes to complete.
We are keen to hear from people with lived experience as well as parents, carers & teachers

This week I gave a career talk for T-FUN, a network of teaching-focused academics (see t-fun.co.uk). Slightly weird to have got to the point I can do bit of a retrospective, but lovely to have the opportunity to write a love letter to everyone along the way and to the teaching track.

I love this - confronting low attendance and disengement by making students feel like they matter rather than jumping to the-lecture-is-dead or banning recordings.

This is the problem with AI-generated writing broadly. It skips the crucial step where you take the time to *think* about something.
Writing is thinking. Thinking is writing. If we efficiency our way out of that step, we're in big trouble.
My notes as I review a paper are my momentary impressions. Having an LLM slap them together into something that has the form of a peer review is useless. What matters is how I synthesize those momentary impressions into a holistic analysis of the paper, it's strengths and flaws.
