If you break any superstition down to its constituent parts they all tend to sound silly. Even if its a relatively young tradition, I like the idiosyncrasies that it provides to a conference winning team and makes the sport more unique.

First time since 2017 that it feels like house money. I hope they enjoy it.

Not to mention that this is another open attack on Canadian Sovereignty since so much of their industry is produced in Toronto or Vancouver.

Analytics cannot explain why Rielly turns into a dog in the playoffs and therefore I am not interested in them.

I think the most important thing was for him to establish a role for himself when the pucks aren't going in. He's still a shot volume machine obviously, but like he can take a backseat on being the tip of the spear when you can rely on Marner and Knies to generate goals in other ways.

This guy is like designed in a lab to be a weapons grade idiot man. Consistently finding the worst take with surgical precision.

As a long time America hater it’d be cathartic if it wasn’t so fucking depressing.

I feel like it’s way more detrimental to the new player experience and overal health of the game over something like a lack of craftable weapons.

Ultimately it’s barring content from players not on a skill check, but like a legacy check.

I think a big problem to the game’s health/onboarding is the lack of catch-up mechanics/activities. For instance; a vaulted raid exotic is meta now? Exorbitant cost. Want the Ergo Sum catalyst? Nobody runs GM excision anymore. It’s hard to bring people into the game in part because of this.

Getting to the point where only Rick Westhead would have the stones. Only decent human in hockey media I swear.

This is exactly the energy I was missing from Bluesky until now.

This is gamer erasure.
November 23, 2024 at 4:20 PM
The average player skill-wise is lower than the skill required for average content. Instead of trying to bring themselves up to that threshold, they’d rather complain on forums to change the game to fit their skill level. This paradigm holds the game back from being its best self.

It's like cutting a promo while the undertaker sits in a coffin below the ring waiting to jump you.
