Indeed. I like Rest on Me for what it is, but I don't think it allowed her to do what she does best. Album 2 feels more like a singer-songwriter album.

The whole album is fantastic. I think of it as her unofficial debut – so many great songs, many of which became hits for other artists later in the 70s.
