I saw this too and was infuriated by it. The health insurance system is rife with problems, one of which is that doctors who may have never practiced are played exorbitant amounts of money to overrule other doctors that are much more qualified. I hope this poor guy can get the care that he needs.

I do program evaluation and have already lost all of my projects because the funding is gone. The damage this will do to this country’s already abysmal chronic disease performance will be long lasting. I’m glad you’ve been able to escape to Australia!
