Art is supposed to sometimes be uncomfortable to the viewer. I don’t want to live in a world were we’re not allowed to explore difficult topics.

If we aren’t allowed safe & healthy ways to explore difficult subjects & feelings, the consequences are devastating.

Hey @bsky.app, if you wanna make rules about consent, how about you ban generative a*i since it was non consensually trained on art by real artists and photos of real people? It is causing real, measurable harm to people and the planet. Properly tagged fictional art with dark themes is not

I've been working on originals fics for over 20 years. I am not ever gonna post them online, not with the current state of the internet where everything gets stolen to train AI, or where thieves steal work to publish it and profit off of.

Just discovered all of the fanfiction I posted on AO3 got scraped in the AO3 scrape from last month. Even the locked fics.

This is so demoralizing.

And that next to finding out that some fake author is literally using other people's fics, but with the names changed, to publish as their own work.
