I often think that a remake of "The Truman Show" in real life, starring He Who Cannot Be Shamed, would be awesome. But I wouldn't watch it.

"Bonkers" is British slang for "crazy, silly, mad or unbalanced" Sounds like an elderly aunt, wandering the garden & talking to flowers.
A better word is "bat-sh*t crazy." This is American for "completely irrational or insane." Used to describe someone who is wildly out of control or unreasonable.

This reminds me of a joke in Northern California: "how do you get to own a winery worth $10 million in California?"

I love this old villa, but I think it will to take a fortune to restore it. I wish I had that fortune.

I agree with you. But we don't let children drink in order learn about the safe use of alcohol. I think the same should be true for social media. We have hard evidence that social media hurts children. Tech companies are capable of restricting access to kids, but they don't want to spend the money.
