She sounds like a Republican.

No amount of free market competition will make emergency surgery or medical air transport something the average person could ever afford. Ever.

The only way is to pool everyone together. The best way to pool everyone together is universal healthcare.

And members of Congress are only about 0.0002% of America, but tax dollars pay for their health care. I think Rand should have to buy his insurance from Walmart.

This is satire, right? It must be satire.

It’s always sad when someone gets angry when they realize they’re wrong. I’m sad for you now.

And John Lennon thought Yoko was a great musician. Doesn’t make it true.
December 13, 2025 at 9:21 PM
Grateful Dead: a band that is so boring that even their biggest fans can’t enjoy their music without being on drugs.

And Garcia a great guitarist? Now that is some comedy right there. Thank you for that laugh.
December 13, 2025 at 9:11 PM
Citing the association with Grateful Dead as evidence of supposed musical skill or talent tells me everything I need to know about your opinion.
December 13, 2025 at 6:00 PM
Always sounded like a Dylan ripoff to me.
December 13, 2025 at 5:20 PM
I think we can all use a break from hearing about this idiot.
December 12, 2025 at 9:43 PM
Probably because he’s still shaking a lot of hands
December 12, 2025 at 9:41 PM
It’s a stunt AND it’s confronting the fascists
December 11, 2025 at 6:36 PM
He is? Seems more like he’s focused on increasing wealth for himself and his American-psycho kids.
December 11, 2025 at 6:23 PM
I applaud this. Yes, it was a stunt, and we need more stunts like this because Americans don’t pay any attention to subtleties and nuances.
December 11, 2025 at 6:19 PM
I also find your usage of your anecdote absurd. The implication that healthcare in California is somehow sufficient because you deem your friend’s medicaid coverage to he acceptable is horribly obtuse. Or was this just you sprinkling random tidbits about people you know just for the sake of tidbits?
December 11, 2025 at 1:31 AM
I stand by my summary.
December 11, 2025 at 1:23 AM
I’m still don’t see the point in your reply. I guess thanks for sharing that California used to have terrible healthcare that was perhaps marginally better than more than zero other states, at best.
December 11, 2025 at 1:05 AM
But moreover, what is the point of this reply? Are you seriously suggesting this is sufficient? We should all just be happy with unaffordable coverage because why exactly? Because it used to be marginally better than some other state? Seriously?
December 10, 2025 at 11:45 PM
Firstly, no. This article doesn’t claim 1 in 3 Californians are using Medi-cal. It claims 1 in 3 under 65 are. And because it’s federally controlled, and federally funded, Republicans were able to make drastic cuts, so even this is stale data. Far fewer will be eligible with those cuts.
December 10, 2025 at 11:45 PM
Oh, and you also hallucinated that California is working on universal healthcare, which is just on its face a silly thing to suggest.
December 10, 2025 at 11:31 PM
Let’s recap: I commented on Newsom’s post that we should have healthcare in California. You replied to me questioning that, defending current medicaid and ACA, suggesting there was some other system available in California. I showed your claims are false. You agreed, but also you got mad.
December 10, 2025 at 11:31 PM
One of us is defending the current healthcare system. The other is me. I’ll leave it as an exercise to the reader which is “MAGA”
December 10, 2025 at 11:18 PM
I don’t think it’s a waste of time to illustrate the stupidity of arguments made in public that California has sufficient healthcare. Or anything approaching universal healthcare. Neither is true. Californians deserve better, your idiocy not withstanding.
December 10, 2025 at 11:17 PM
So wait… now your claim is that California doesn’t have amazing healthcare? But it’s “working on it”? Concepts of a plan? So what exactly is the point of your original reply? We should be satisfied with healthcare in California? Or shouldn’t? You seem confused.
