Depends on the child, essentially it's more an attempt to show that there is very little difference. Moreover, a one off test score doesn't reflect that 5%'s usual performance in classwork (including discussion work)

Quite. Also, I'm not sure the anxiety for kids is worth it and less than 5% of the results surprise me...

Re y6, can't help but feel when you have 3 x mocks and then a week or actual SATs and then prep for writing moderation, we lose almost a half term of learning that could prepare for secondary. Would love to hear secondary colleagues view on whether our time could be better spent and on what?
