Thanks for getting back. If the driver could have announced that he was detouring it would have been appreciated. They might not know the cause, but they didn't even announce that they were detouring and people on the bus were visibly concerned and wondering if they were on the wrong bus etc...

It happened at 830 ish on route 82. Other buses did the same.
