Hello to everyone migrating over!! 🧪🌎🦑 I’m Laura (she/her), I’m a molecular ecologist and I use eDNA to explore how organisms use human-modified spaces and inform future development! Previously with oysters 🦪, now in mangroves 🌳

One quarter of a black cement bin floating in opaque greenish water. Small oyster spat, less than the size of a pinky nail, are gathered in a pile in a corner and fill a plastic measuring cup. They will be poured into a floating oyster bag to grow to the correct size, barely shown in the top right of the image
