It doesn’t matter if it’s visit 1 or visit 101 — going to court while queer can be intimidating. Judges have a unique ability to make court proceedings safer & more compassionate for the LGBTQ+ community. We created a resource to help them do it. Check it out at tinyurl.com/FromTheB...

Did you know? The National LGBTQ+ Bar Association is the largest LGBTQ+ bar and ally lawyer association in the country, but we are allied with 46 local affiliated state and local LGBTQ+ Bar association organizations in 31 U.S. states — plus D.C.!

Traditionally, “ally” refers to cisgender, straight people who support LGBTQ+ rights. But allyship is a verb, not a noun — it’s about what you DO, not who you are.

The real work of allyship is a constant process of listening, learning, and growing throughout your lifetime.

Each year on Juneteenth, we honor the #FreedomDay emancipation of enslaved African Americans & celebrate the contributions of Black individuals within the LGBTQ+ community. Our struggles are intersectional — only by recognizing our shared history can we build a future rooted in equality & justice.

Today marks nine years since the horrific mass shooting during Latin Night at Pulse, an inclusive LGBTQ+ nightclub in Orlando. We hold the 49 who died, the dozens injured, and their loved ones in our hearts today, and we send a special message of love and solidarity to our Florida affiliates. 🩷
