It really does spark another question within me - how on earth did they manage to survive the other years when the contest was this close to collapsing (like in the late 60's + 1970)...

I haven't seen it yet (I'm just not yet ready to do it, I already know what's going on). But the only thing I can say for certain is this: Who will the contest be for? With the once most loyal and biggest fanbase alienated, and the commercial value of songs not being very high for a long time...

Ärligt talat tror jag det sitter i den svenska identiteten att ha en väldigt flegmatisk inställning till allt, likaså en begränsad empati. Och att det förmodligen pågått längre än vad nån kan föreställa sig

Another problem I'd like to adress - is the timing. Make no mistake, these changes needed to be done either way. But with the vote on a certain country's participation being hung in the balance, revealing these changes now did strike me as a panic move.

Had to read it again to realize that Korsnäs is a Finnish municipality. It's also the name of a place in Falun, Dalarna, which also happens to have its own football team
