Halloween is in the books but our skeletons, like they do every year, are having some trouble adjusting. So, our two mascots will stay in their Skeleton Vampire outfits until later in the year. Our Pirate Skeleton is still aboard the ship/garden box around the corner. We have books, too.

'Glittering generality' statements is extremely common behavior in dementia patients: i.e., "I don't know what this 6 inch scar on my abdomen is from, but I know 'they' did some kind of surgery", "I know I was in the hospital for a couple weeks, but I can't remember what was wrong", etc.

We have broken out the Halloween books, decorations, and costumes at the #LittleFreeLibrary #SkyView in #FerndaleWA. First the books: lots of Goosebumps books by R.L. Stine. Decorations include new lights, two ghosts, and our skeleton mascots. This brings us to the not-too-scary hats and capes.

In a past life #LittleFreeLibrary #Skyview steward Kevin had a stint as a trapeze catcher and coach at Trapeze High in Leucadia, CA. Among the wonderful staff was a true hero, a Circus Hall of Famer, and Guinness world record holder. Tony Steele was our conscious, our coach and our great friend. RIP

In a past life #LittleFreeLibrary #Skyview steward Kevin had a stint as a trapeze catcher and coach at Trapeze High in Leucadia, CA. Among the wonderful staff was a true hero, a Circus Hall of Famer, and Guinness world record holder. Tony Steele was our conscious, our coach and our great friend. RIP
