i Have had many discussions on this very topic. My view is that maybe no one is to blame and that the start to the season is just a consequence of keeping the group together last season and then making lots of changes in the summer which hopefully benefits us going forward

Whether your views have merit or not, I strongly suspect Hughes / Edward’s would take the view that with so many changes to the fi team plus injuries, a period of adjustment would be needed before the team starts to click

I agree, as per the post above, we look like we have bought players to play a back 3, so until Salah moves on, we won’t really know what the plan is

My view is that it’s both tactical (teams adapting to Slot) and personnel (the defence needs a few changes and possibly one in midfield).
Unlike most Liv fans, I think winning a title allows Slot time to fix the issue, but I don’t think he will last the season unfortunately

The reason why fans will be upset is because there is no sign that he knows how to coach a build up, which is why they are so poor what home.

Suspect that you are absolutely righ, the counter argument is that from a player welfare perspective , they have probably made the correct decision .

No arguments, you have been hurt in attack and are short before the international break.
But once we are on the other side of the break, I think you should be in much better shape and some very good players are not going to be making the match day squad.

I would be curious to find out where you think you are short, because to me, this is one of the most stacked squads I have ever seen

I think the elephant in the room is that while Wirtz is without doubt an amazing player. He lacks the physicality to play as a #10, playing him wide is a square peg in a round hole and we have two forwards who are superior to him

That’s also very fair, it’s very difficult to be rational about your own teams long term prospects when it’s currently giving up big chances like a newly promoted team
