Carbon monoxide related incidents in London have more than doubled, with around 1,700 callouts in 2024/25.

Speckled Jim, a homing Pigeon flying back to Wolverhampton from Brittany, France wondered off course due to solar flares on Monday and found his way into Paddington Fire Station. Using his id tags, RW crews were able to contact his owners, and they travelled down the following day to be reunited.

Over 600 riders attended the Deliveroo 2025 Rider Roadshow event @ Soho Fire Station. Riders received #ChargeSafe flyers and could speak directly with firefighters and the Brigade’s campaign team about how to stay safe when charging and storing e-bikes and e-scooters.

Following the tragic deaths of Firefighters Martyn Sadler and Jennie Logan of Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service
Martyn used to serve at Paddington, and we have taken time to remember and support each other.
