The individual subscriptions add up quickly, so the most anyone can hope for is a tiny fraction of the audience they had before, and we, the subscribers, get a completely fragmented media ecosystem. I'd gladly pay a reasonable fee for access to a collection of journalists' substacks. Who's with me?

Waiting for the day and the 👍🏼 people in the room to propose some sort of syndication for all the great journalists who quit their legacy publications and set up a substack.
