At this point, I would prefer they miss the playoffs entirely if it led to substantive changes. But even in that scenario, I can already see their press comments about their process being right just not the outcome. Total loser talk.

The fear is that subsidy will result in worse or cont. bad service. NYC has had some of the slowest bus speeds in America and while mtas redesign and modernization efforts are making improvements, it would be a disservice to riders if Albany stops investing in bus service because it’s now free.

While it’s extremely fun to watch judge play baseball, it’s hard to think this team will ever get over the hump when the people who made those decisions are still in charge and think they’re the smartest guys in the room.

If you look at something like transit, simply looking at the MTA budget will explain what drives cost. Most of it is connected to the high cost of healthcare and insuring its workforce and nothing to do with unions. But that’s an inconvenient explanation in the context of abundance.

For example, if he played Kolek all year even 3 min a night, wouldnt that have made some difference come playoffs. Either in rest for starters or for confidence in the rookie?

Thibs does not manage his bench well. With rookies he does not trust guys till year 2, with vets it seems he only goes to them in dire situations. Neither is a winning strategy. Compare with Carlisle who plays all guys and mix and matches. The rigidity needs to end if they want to reach next level

Isn’t the popular rumor choice Dan Hurley? Of the big name coaches currently available I’m not convinced they head above Thibs. Does Malone beat this Pacers team, doubt it.

It’s super weird. Expected more from the AL east. While I still feel like goldy is gonna fall off offensively, what the yanks are doing feels sustainable
