The amount of apathy, homophobia, and especially transphobia is soul crushing.

I am now an elected member of the party on the county level (parishes here) & I can attest that it’s like that all the way down.

Progressive policies & members are seen as a threat, rather than a promise for change.

I have been a lifelong Dem & in the past 2yrs joined the party as an elected member at the county level. I know firsthand that D’s are clinging to the past & are not left at all.
