It is incredible how quickly various bigotries can't hold up to human contact and interaction.

My spouse and I ran a kids carnival game (ring toss) in an 80/20 Trump district last summer. We donated all the proceeds back to the carnival committee.

Zero issues, kids loved it. Got invited back.
A shoddily put together "ring toss" game made out of a pool frame with panels of flamingos as a border, fake flowers border the outside. Inside you can see one of hte flamingos to be ringed and in the backgournd our blue topped pop up tent with rainbow border and our "prize walls"

Kids loved it, we charged $1 and "somehow" every game they won.

Neighbor kid even jumped to help us run it for free (we paid him $20 anyway).

Hands down my favorite (and irritating) personal anecdote of delayed cracking is a two day period.

I dressed up as Joan Jett for Halloween in 2014 for work (won the contest!), because I've always loved her.

I spent over $100 buying clothes to make it work at Goodwill.

I sadly don't get to cook as much as I like for various reasons but I'm pretty decent at making a variety of home cooked stuff.

Once I get back at it I'm going to be posting and sometimes it's just taking time to add a little extra

Since they're not on Bsky, I'm also going to share the Goob Plushie from Dandy's World (you can't see his arms but they're long black strings that attach to a red glove on one side and blue on the other, both have magnets in them to simulate his ability) my spouse made for our kid for xmas

"It is just Hamburger Helper"

This was a Chili Mac Hamburger Helper that I added
Rotel, Black Olives, Green Onions and a TON of cheese to.

Simple additions but went a long way (I also season the burger while cooking w/ a burger seasoning I put together)

One of the things I did to get my shit together was organizing my injection kit into a single tote.

The top is my auto-injector this thing is amazing and makes shots take zero effort, haven't had a gusher or bruising since getting it. I also swapped to SubQ injections from IM when moving to this.

This was my birthday cake last year (Sept)!
